75 degree HT and 74 degree ST angles

50mm BB drop

Hoping to complete the bike again before the weekend!

Friday the 13th Mystery email: Raleigh Pursuit track

Hi guys, sorry for being busy at work. an email from my contact form came minutes ago from this mystery sender. Sharing his ultimate collections. Hopefully I can meet this legend and have him featured here.

"This red Raleigh used to be my time trial bike for the road. but was turned into a track frame last year by fitting it with track rear dropouts and removing the brake cable routes, water bottle mounts,
brazed on shifters and changer done by nelson dioquino. this has a size 60cm reynolds 531 tubing. shimano 600 aero seatpost, turbo saddle, cinelli handlepost with cinelli upturned handlebars, a usd20 lasco crankset from ebay, zipp disc wheel, a php140 black front bmx hub with 16 dt spokes mated to a black deep star rim. again, front wheel is using a 36h hub + 32h rim + 16 spokes.  the raleigh logo is from a waterslide decal sheet."

I envy this build as this wsa the original concept for my girlfriends' build, geo and all.  I just can't get over the fact that he had the same concept as I did.  Even the paint, the fluorescent pink on a  lo-pro.  I just love the slope of this frame, plus the combination of a rear Chub and front Trispoke.  This is definitely on top of my list.

Keep it coming, Kiko!

Raining all day!

It's been raining all day here in Manila. Hoping it will be over tomorrow. Thinking of ways on how can I bike to work even in a downpour rain. Hit the comments if you have a product or other things in mind.

NJS Mondays : Dex's Anchor has arrived

Dex's Blue Bridgestone Anchor 55cm has arrived in Davao City for his NJS build.  He installed a Nitto B123 Cr-Mo and Nitto Pearl 9 cockpit, held in place by a Hatta Swan Super Deluxe NJS headset.

Wheel build is a Dura Ace 7600 HF track hubs laced with Hoshi DB spokes on Araya CTL-385 rims in front and an Araya 20A on the rear, wrapped with Vittoria Randonneur 700x25c on the front and 28c on the rear. It also has a NJS-stamped MKS chain tugs which were also imported from Japan.

Dex said that it's a work in progress and hoping to complete this NJS in the near future. Watch out for the complete bike check of this track monster. Have a great week!
