Patience is the key to this latest NJS build by Lawrence. After completing all the Suntour Superbe NJS groupset up to the cogs and painting the frameset with a high gloss silver, this is a very extreme and class build. If you experienced waiting your items all the way from Japan and having a really hard time paying all the taxes and whatever bullsh*ts in the EMS then you know how patience is well played on this one.. And as always, Ave Maldea never failed to give us the smooth welds and very good finish of Law's desired geometry of this custom build. Watch out for more images and his wife's counterpart of the build.

New builds are popping up! This one right here is a newly chromed frameset made by Ave Maldea. An NJS Geo., Columbus Gara tubes and Shimano track ends make this build totally sick!

NJS Mondays: Why NJS?

“The (Keirin) frames, no matter what brand, are always of the highest quality. When you’re thinking about a used keirin frame, think about everything that went into it. The racer orders the frame according to his personal preferences, ones that he’s developed after racing for up to 30 years. Even with that status he will pay anywhere from $1000 to $2500 for a frame. There are no sponsorships in keirin racing. He chooses the frame tubing (now usually Kasei or Columbus), lugs, and paint, too. My Track Bike: Back on Raw!

My track frame just got back from Ave Maldea after a little adjustment on the headtube angle and a brand new fork. Still thinking of the next color, I want it brighter this time from it's matte black color.

NJS Mondays : Dex's Anchor has arrived

 

 

Dex's Blue Bridgestone Anchor 55cm has arrived in Davao City for his NJS build.  He installed a Nitto B123 Cr-Mo and Nitto Pearl 9 cockpit, held in place by a Hatta Swan Super Deluxe NJS headset. 

Wheel build is a Dura Ace 7600 HF track hubs laced with Hoshi DB spokes on Araya CTL-385 rims in front and an Araya 20A on the rear, wrapped with Vittoria Randonneur 700x25c on the front and 28c on the rear. It also has a NJS-stamped MKS chain tugs which were also imported from Japan.

Dex said that it's a work in progress and hoping to complete this NJS in the near future. Watch out for the complete bike check of this track monster. Have a great week!
